Fighting Fraud
- Created a new Inspector General who will have the duty to investigate and stop fraud, misuse, and waste in government programs.
- Authored legislation that would create a 100% tax on fraudsters, so they can’t keep a penny of the money they stole from taxpayers.
- Stopped the creation of new programs that would have been easy targets for fraudsters.
Affordability
- Stopped billions in new tax increases, and reigned in unsustainable spending passed by the DFL single party control.
- Voted for legislation that requires budget surpluses be given back to the taxpayers.
- Passed legislation that will deliver property tax relief to Lakeville families.
- Decreased car tab fees for the first time in decades, which will put real money back in your pocket when you renew in 2027.
Serving Our City
- Worked across the aisle to get things done, without compromising on the values that are important to Lakeville.
- Worked with our other Lakeville legislators and local leaders to prioritize funding for I-35 that will make commutes faster and safer.
- Helped lead the fight to bring the FiRST Center to Lakeville, which will provide training for our first responders.
Protecting Our Families
- Grants to schools to focus on student mental health.
- Created an anonymous threat reporting system for our schools.
- Authored a bill that would give grants to our schools for security upgrades.
- Fought to protect girls sports.
- Helped pass legislation that will make it harder for criminals to financially exploit our seniors.
- Passed a new law that will give parents more control over their children’s social media.
